The 2nd edition of the “Making a story from archives” contest, dedicated this year to the common heritage of Euro-Mediterranean women and girls, was closed at the end of July. Works from RTVSLO-Slovenia, TVR-Romania, RTV Vojvodina (Serbia) and Télévision Tunisienne took part in the competition, all focused on the role of women in history, economy and social life and their contribution to the diversity, richness and cultural memories of the Mediterranean region.
The international jury - composed of COPEAM Secretary General, Margherita Scanavino from Rai as President of the Audiovisual Heritage Commission, and one representative of each participating broadcaster - decreed “Female Saltpan Workers” by Helena PIRC from RTVSLO/Slovenia as the best documentary of this year.
The awarding ceremony took place in Bucharest on October 3, in the framework of the Conference "Crossing borders in the digital world", organized by Radio Romania, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
