Officer in charge of the relations with the Arab institutions and audiovisual professionals
COPEAM – Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators is a non-profit professional Association working in the field of the Mediterranean audiovisual cooperation.
Set up in 1996 and based in Rome, today its network brings together more than 100 members from 26 countries of the region, among which 35 public broadcasters from the North and the South of the basin. Aiming at enhancing the role of the audiovisual sector in the Euro-Mediterranean integration process, COPEAM conceives, promotes and coordinates several multilateral cooperation projects (among which some are co-funded by the EU) in the field of the preservation of the radio and TV archives, of the professional training, of multimedia, of the radio and TV coproduction.
Within this association, the person in charge of the relations with the Arab world will manage the following activities:
- Relations with the members and the international organisations based in the South-Mediterranean countries
- Exploring new memberships from the concerned geographic area
- Set up and follow-up of partnerships, fundraising among Arab Organisations
- Assistance in the coordination of specific projects and follow-up of the related activities, notably with Arab partners
With relevant professional experience in an international environment, you have a strong interest in media and cooperation. Organised, rigorous and autonomous, you have excellent relationship skills and writing skills in Arabic (mother tongue) and French and/or English. The knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
Required profile:
- Relevant University degree
- Arab-speaking, bilingual speaker French and/or English
- Italian as an advantage
- Familiarity with IT software tools
