The model of COPEAM co-productions

COPEAM took part in the international meeting of indipendent producers organized by UNESCO-IGUALADA, in Igualada, Spain, from 4 to 7 October 2011 as a member of the management team.
The meeting approached various topics such as creativity in the audiovisual language, quality, entrepreneurship and marketing in audiovisual production.
This participation was an opportunity to present COPEAM to the participating producers from different countries of the world (Lebanon, Kenya, Cameroon, South Korea, Mongolia, Algeria, Ethiopia, etc.), to give them an overview of its main areas of action, notably television co-productions.

Mimosa and jasmine, women and web in the squares of the Arab world
The Commission carries on its campaign on the new media through the meeting “Mimosa and jasmine. Women and web in the squares of the Arab world”, organised in collaboration with the GIO (Gender Inter-university Observatory) for a better understanding of the reasons of women participation in the Arab popular revolutions and the role played by the new media.
The meeting was broadcast in streaming on three web TV (copeam.tv, uniroma.tv and roma3.it) and animated on line on the Facebook page “Mediterranean Women”.

TV and Cinema/Festival/Culture Commissions joint meeting
Paris, 31st January 2011 COPEAM TV and Cinema / Festival / Culture Commissions held their first joint meeting on January 31st 2011, at TV5 Monde Headquarters in Paris, upon the kind invitation of this latter. ASBU-EBU-COPEAM Tripartite 2010
The three Unions gathered for the VII Tripartite, on the occasion of the 29th General Assembly of ASBU that was held in December 2010 in Khartoum (Sudan).
During the meeting , the state of art on the common activities in the domains of training, co-production and programmes and news’ exchange was made. A particular attention was devoted to the joint projects, both ongoing and in their achievement phase, supported by the European Commission: Med-Mem, Euromed News, the new programme Euromed Audiovisual III for the Capacity Building support in the South-Mediterranean countries.

Med Agora presented at Medimed, International Market of the Euro-Mediterranean Documentary
COPEAM presented the new multimedia interactive platform under construction “Med Agora” within the Medimed, International Market of the Euro-Mediterranean Documentary held in Spain, at Sitges, from 8th to 10th of October.
The event, which gathers filmmakers, broadcasters, TV commissioning editors, distributors and independent producers operating in the Mediterranean Region, is annually organized by Apimed, the International Association of the Mediterranean Independent Producers. Copeam at Prix Italia 2010
During the meeting « Telling the Mediterranean » jointly organized by RAI and COPEAM, the book published by RAI ZONE “Telling and broadcasting Mediterranean stories. A study on documentary film” was presented.
COPEAM contribution to this volume is focused on the co-production experience of the documentary series “Inter-rives”, reported by Mr. Sampiero Sanguinetti and Mr. Frej Chouchane, coordinators of the two series already achieved, who drew the conclusions on the results of that experience.

Inter-Rives at “La Festa di Cinema del Reale”
PRESENTATION “La Festa del Cinema del Reale” is an yearly cultural event co-organized by Big Sur, the Associazione Cinema del reale and Officina Visioni to support and develop narratives of the “real” and documentary cinema produced in Italy, in the Mediterranean countries and in the world.
