COPEAM in Conversano for the 14th edition of the Lector in Fabula Festival

The 14th edition of the European Cultural Festival Lector in Fabula took place in Conversano (Apulia, Italy) from 13 to 16 September, devoted to “Imagination and Power in the Digital Era”.
COPEAM was present during the event with several activities, among which the radio program MusicaMed, a weekly magazine promoting the contemporary Mediterranean music scene, which has daily offered to the public a journey across the sounds of Maghreb and Middle East, to discover together the best emerging talents of the Arab world.

World Radio Day 2019 : Dialogue, Tolerance & Peace
This year again,COPEAM supports – as a member of the organizing committee – the World Radio Day!
On next February 13, COPEAM will invite its radio members to celebrate the Radio as a factor of dialogue and promotion of tolerance and peace.
Radio can become a platform of exchange and civic participation between different groups of the society. This capacity helps raising awareness among listeners, while offering new perspectives and paving the way for positive action. Radio facilitates unity around global issues, by stimulating the public debate on matters of common interest.

PLURAL+ Video Festival: COPEAM special prize 2018
COPEAM keeps supporting the PLURAL+ Video Festival, organized by UNAOC and IOM in cooperation with a wide number of international partners. The main goal of this worldwide competition is to give voice to young video-makers wishing to express their experiences and thoughts on migration, diversity and social inclusion.
For the 2018 edition, over 371 videos from 72 different countries have competed in the three age categories (9-12, 13-17, 18-25). COPEAM has awarded its special prize to “Young Minds – Talk Solutions” by Edenamiuki Aiguobasinmwin (UK) with the following motivation:

World Radio Day: Radio and sports

As a member of the World Radio Day committee, COPEAM invites its members to celebrate Radio and Sports, with the aim of strengthening diversity, peace and development through sports broadcasting.
The radios are then invited to showcase the beauty of sports in all its variety, to celebrate the traditional sports that connect us to our cultural heritage, the grassroots sports that anchor us within our communities and the inspiring stories that challenge gender stereotypes and cover, equally, both men’s and woman’s sports events.
COPEAM for the 2017 Mediterranean Journalist Award

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Mediterranean Journalist Awards, COPEAM has renewed its partnership with the Anna Lindh Foundation being part again of the international Jury in charge of selecting the works in competition.
The preselected journalists were invited to the awarding ceremony, which took place in Brussels, at the premises of the European Parliament, last December 6, where the winners for each category (press, online, TV/Radio, photography) were announced and rewarded by HRH Princess Rym Ali of Jordan.

COPEAM at Lectorinfabula and Materadio 2017 with its Radio Commission
Upon invitation of the Lectorinfabula Festival, the new season of MusicaMed (weekly music radio programme) was presented in Conversano (Italy) last 15 and 16 September.
It was an opportunity to announce the new format of this COPEAM magazine and to promote the new Mediterranean music landscape during a “street music aperitif” in the city and a DJ set on Saturday night, with the participation of some producers of the programme from Italy (Marzia Puleo, Rai Sicile), Morocco (Amine Berrahou, SNRT) and Croatia (Davor Pejić, HRT-Radio Rijeka).

The 2017 edition of the World Radio Day was announced. As a member of the organizing committee, COPEAM joins UNESCO in inviting all member radios to take part, next 13 February, to this global event and to celebrate radio and its impact on our lives.
