5TH Edition of COPEAM University
COPEAM University is an original one-week training format, whosemain goal is to provide young audio-visual professionals coming from COPEAM and ASBU broadcaster members with a unique opportunity to exchange professional and human experiences.
COPEAM University 2009 took place from 7th to 14th February in Taghit, a charming oasis of the Algerian Sahara, under the aegis of the Algerian Public Television (EPTV), and in partnership with CFI, the Algerian Radio, the Tunisian Radio and France Bleu Frequenza Mora.

TRAINING SEMINAR on TV FORMATS WRITING AND PRODUCTION – 2008
From the 14th to the 18th December, COPEAM and the ASBU Training Centre of Damascus will organise the 4th edition of the “TV formats writing and production” training session.
It will gather a restricted group of professionals coming from the Programmes Units of COPEAM and ASBU television members and will be assured, as for the past editions, by Mr. Paolo Taggi, Italian TV author and university professor.

COPEAM presents to the Council of Europe the project for a new Master on « Global Journalism »
COPEAM has been invited by the Council of Europe (Education, Culture and Heritage, Youth and Sport General Direction – Coordination for the Intercultural Dialogue) to take part in the meeting of experts devoted to “Training of journalists in intercultural competencies”.
Held in Paris on the 10th June 2008, the meeting has gathered representatives of important European institutes for journalism training. From training to broadcast: the University of COPEAM on the screen
One week to carry out, on the field, a 52’ TV documentary composed of 10 reportages focused on “Tourism and sustainable development, factors of connection between peoples” to be shot in the Algerian region of Bejaia: this is the goal reached during the last edition of COPEAM University (5-12 April 2008). The inter-cultural work teams have been guided by the trainers through the conception, the shooting and the editing of radio and TV products ready to be broadcast. 4th edition of COPEAM University
The 4th edition of COPEAM University took place in Bejaia (Algeria), from the 5th to the 12th April 2008, under the aegis of EPTV, in collaboration with CFI and with the participation of France Bleu Frequenza Mora and Radio Doualiya. This year, the President of the Algerian Republic has granted his High Patronage to the action that was also supported by the Algerian Ministry of Communication. «BOUNDLESS» Cultural Diversity Media Award and Training in Intercultural Journalism
The 30th September 2007 the call for canditates to participate in «Boundless – Cultural Diversity Media Award» – an international initiative carried out in partnership by COPEAM,WDR,EBU,FranceTélévisions,
UNESCO, NPS/Netherlands – was closed.
56 applications have been received from 25 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond. 15 young professionals have been awarded to have better represented in their works the idea of Cultural Diversity.
Among the covered subjects, the minorities’ habits, the friendship between different cultures, the interreligious dialogue, the refugees’ life.

3RD EDITION OF COPEAM UNIVERSITY
Following the great success of the editions of Ghardaïa (2005) and Sétif (2006), the « 2007 COPEAM University » took place in Oran (Algeria) from 10th to 17th March.
The University is an original “format” created by COPEAM under the aegis of ENTV, and represents a unique experience of training in Mediterranean and in Europe : young professionals from the two shores of the Mediterranean and from Arabic countries get together during one week to produce a TV magazine and a radio magazine, while discovering the synergies between different audiovisual languages, and comparing methods and different sensibilities.
