TV and Cinema/Festival/Culture Commissions joint meeting

Paris, 31st January 2011 COPEAM TV and Cinema / Festival / Culture Commissions held their first joint meeting on January 31st 2011, at TV5 Monde Headquarters in Paris, upon the kind invitation of this latter. As many as 50 professionals – broadcasters, producers, festival representatives – participated in the meeting and discussed on various topics of common interest, such as the promotion of national prizes and festivals as both within and beyond the network, the unifying project of Med Agora – virtual showcase and information plateform for the promotion of the audiovisual sector in the Euro-Med area, the state of art of the two COPEAM projects supporting Mediterranean co-production and aiming at the harmonization of co-production practices in the Mediterranean region. In this regard, participants welcomed COPEAM proposal concerning the draft of a common charter establishing shared criteria for coproduction which TV broadcasters and independent producers –members of the Association - would undertake to comply with.
