The European Audiovisual Observatory represents a unique information source on the audiovisual sector in Europe. Part of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France, the Observatory is a public service organization created in 1992 with the aim to collect and distribute information about the audiovisual industries in Europe while promoting greater transparency and a clearer understanding of the ways in which the audiovisual industries function, both from an economic and legal point of view. In the last months, from the beginning of July until today, the Observatory has published various texts and reports containing information on the various audiovisual markets in Europe and their funding, as well as analyzing the legal issues affecting the different areas of the audiovisual industry.
