ULYSSES 2.0 – Tunisia special edition
Following the success of the first edition of the project « Ulysse 2.0 », a training session on the production of web-docs was organized in Tunis thanks to CFI and COPEAM, in collaboration with ARTE, ESJ(Lille) and ISAM(Tunis) for a group of 10 Tunisian journalists and bloggers.
One day introducing the techniques and the objectives of the training has been followed by a practical session: the 10 participants - coming from different Tunisian media : radios, blogs, print and on-line press - have chosen the portraits of Tunisian young people to be realized directly on the field. The work of the teams, guided by the trainers, was focused on topics selection, multimedia writing and multiplatform portraits realization (photos, videos, texts,..).
The handled topics were various (economics, politics, language, social changes) and brought to the production of 5 videos: “A courageous mother”, “Young people and politics”, “How is the state of economy”, “The words of the revolution” and “The revolution childhood”.
The videos realized by the participants reveal many facets of Tunisia after the events of 14th January, underlining the hopes and the doubts of the people, the glances of children, the words of young people and the past and current fears.
The workshop was carried out by 4 experts: an editor-in-chief, Marco Nassivera, (editor-in-chief of ARTE Reportage), two video and web reporters, Benoît Califano (ESJ Lille) and Manuel Liuktus (independent journalist) and a webmaster Abdelmomen Naamane (Isamm). It was the occasion for the participants to learn about the web documentary, shooting and editing techniques and multimedia writing.
At the end of the training, the produced videos were uploaded on the project web site www.ulysse2.com, for the pleasure of internet users!
