Last 17 October, the City of Vinci (Florence) hosted the Awarding ceremony of the Inter-Rives IV “Sports without borders” Prize for the best Northern documentary of this series, which was attributed to "In the name of the father", produced by Mr. Peter Leban and Mr. Tommaso Manià from RTVSLO (Slovenia). Mr. Marko Filli, Director General of the Slovenian public television, Mr. Antonio Rocco, Director of Italian programmes and the two film directors took part in the ceremony, which was enriched by a debate around the role of coproduction in promoting mutual knowledge in the Euro-Arab space and the importance of sports as means of social integration and personal affirmation. The Mayor of Vinci, Mr. Giuseppe Torchia, renewed the commitment to host again the event in 2016, for the 5th edition of Inter-Rives, devoted to “Stories of travels and seas”. The ceremony was coordinated by the Deputy-Mayor Ms. Cristina Pezzatini, at the presence of Mr. Paolo Santini, Assessor to Culture, and of Ms. Sara Iallorenzi, Assessor to Sports.
