Terramed Plus: looking forward

In the framework of Terramed Plus project, over 34 months, seven Mediterranean public televisions worked in close cooperation with a view to contributing to a greater circulation of audiovisual works and to the development of a regional audience. Indeed, these objectives were at the centre of the Euromed Audiovisual III Programme, co-funder of this initiative.
During two seasons, Terramed Plus proposed – via the digital and satellite channels Raimed and Rainews24 – a weekly promotional teaser of the programmes broadcasted by the television partners, thus portraying the Mediterranean through a shared mosaic-programming schedule.

TRT Documentary Awards 2014

The Turkish Radio Television Corporation (TRT) is organising the 6th edition of the “TRT Documentary Awards” to support the amateur and professional documentary film-makers, to contribute to and boost the development and prevalence of the documentary film genre, to enable audience to view different and high quality documentary films from various countries and in the long term to form the groundwork where worldwide documentary film makers will meet and exchange their ideas.

Podgorica, 28-30 October 2013

In the framework of Balkans’ Memory project, Ina, in partnership with the Cinematheque of Montenegro and RTCG, organized a seminar on legal framework and promotion of cinematographic and audiovisual contents, from 28 to 30 October 2013. This seminar was held in Podgorica and follows the previous ones on preservation and restoration of the audiovisual archives, held in Tirana in November 2012, and on digitization and management of digital media, held in Belgrade last April.

The 1st meeting of the experts group in the field of television and on demand audiovisual services was held in Tunis, on 23-24 September 2013. The experts from the programme partner networks – ASBU, COPEAM and EBU – adopted conclusions favorable to the creation of a South-Mediterranean Audiovisual Observatory which would collect and make available data on TV and on demand audiovisual services of the Region.

Grand Prix Nova is a festival organized by the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation under the auspices of the International Radio and Television Union (URTI).
The festival is competitive and is open to all regular and associate members of the URTI, as well as to other broadcasting organizations and free producers.

Terramed Plus Meeting/workshop

Representatives from television channels participating in Terramed Plus met in Algiers with Algerian television EPTV on June 3 and 4. The two-day workshop was an opportunity to review the project’s achievements and reflect on the ways to ensure its sustainability.
The workshop’s opening was attended by the director-general of Algerian Television, Tewfik Khelladi, the secretary general of the Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM) Pier Luigi Malesani, and other representatives from partner television channels supporting the project.

(ANSAmed)BEIRUT, May 17 – The development of Lebanon's participation in the activities of the Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM) was the object of a meeting in Beirut between the Secretary General of the Association, Pier Luigi Malesani, and the Information Minister, Walid Daouk.

"Lebanon is very important for us, especially considering the difficult period this country is facing" due to the crisis in Syria, Malesani told ANSA. He also visited the studios of the public television Télé Liban, the first television channel founded, in 1959, in the Middle East.
