Now in its 26th season, the Kantara team welcomes the arrival of a new radio station: Radio 2M. Starting in May, Youssef Bahar, a journalist and presenter at Radio 2M since 2006, host and producer of the artistic and cultural program “Kelma wa Naghma” (Words and Rhymes), has joined colleagues from the other five co-producing radio stations to contribute to the program’s weekly episodes. After the summer break, the new season will start again with this expanded team.
Mediterradio is also opening up to important new collaborations. After years of absence, Radio Tunisienne has returned to the program, choosing Nabila Abid, an Italian-speaking journalist and well-known morning show host. Already since May, she has met her colleagues from Radio Rai Sardegna and Sicilia and ici RCFM and started collaborating with them from Marsala (Sicily), during the recording of special episodes at the 38° Parallelo cultural festival.
Starting in September, with the launch of the new season, three more partner radio broadcasters will enrich Mediterradio’s episodes through their Italian-speaking editorial teams: RTVSlo Capodistria, TRT, and Radio Romania.
These are highly valuable professional and cultural collaborations, aimed at concrete cooperation and exchange, which will make our Mediterranean radio landscape ever more united and without borders.
