Within the Short Film Days, side event of the Festa del cinema di Roma, a panel about the challenges of cinema and training in the Mediterranean was held on 18 October 2024.
Alaa Eddine Aljem, director of ESAV Marrakech, and Houcem Boukef, director of ESAC Gammarth met and talked with the delegates of the most prestigious cinema schools in Rome.
After the panel, the winning films of APV Prize 2024 were screened for the Italian public. Three of the film makers awarded 2024, Yara Gebara (ALBA Lebanon), Denis Cluchier (ESAV Morocco) and Haythem Ben Hmida (ESAC Tunisia), had the possibility to come to Rome to present their films and to attend some networking workshops devoted to young cinema talents.
Thanks to Rai Cinema, Alice nella città Festival, Università UniNettuno, and Anica Academy for building together this occasion for new international synergies in favour of the Mediterranean cinema’s young talents.
