Rome, 23-24 April 2026
As developments such as artificial intelligence, digital platforms, automation and new audiovisual tools transform both society and the media landscape, public broadcasters have a double responsibility in terms of keeping up with this constantly evolving technological environment and of providing their audiences with clear, accurate and engaging guidelines for use.
To address these challenges, COPEAM co-organized with RAI in Rome an international training course titled “Communicating technological and scientific innovation: content production strategies for PSM”.
Held in April 2026, the course was designed for journalists, authors, producers, editors and media managers involved in the development and programming of content related to science, technology and innovation, with the aim of strengthening their editorial and production skills in line with the educational mission PSM.
Professionals from a wide range of broadcasters members of COPEAM took part in this initiative: 2M (Morocco), ALNEWS24 (Algeria), EPTV (Algeria), Television Tunisienne (Tunisia), HRT (Croatia), ERT (Greece), RTK (Kosovo), RTS (Serbia), RTSH (Albania) and RTVE (Spain), besides other attendees who participated in remote mode.
The course offered an intensive two-day program combining expert presentations with opportunities for professional exchange and discussion. The agenda featured a rich lineup of speakers from Rai and leading European media organizations, with sessions focused on innovative formats, storytelling strategies, and transmedia approaches.
By fostering dialogue, knowledge-sharing and professional networking, this RAI-COPEAM joint initiative contributed to strengthening the capacity of PSM to address complex technological and scientific issues and to better inform and engage their audiences across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
