13 February is the World Radio Day. To celebrate this day, the international World Radio Day Committee (WRD), which includes the thirteen main audiovisual and telecommunication organizations including COPEAM, endorsed three actions:
– www.wrd13.com: official interactive platform of the international WRD Committee
– A concert free of rights offered by Radio France
– EBU, UNESCO and URTI organize an event at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in the name of the international WRD Committee and in partnership with Radio France

Moreover, COPEAM asked to radios involved in the action on UNESCO Gender-sensitive Indicators for Media to celebrate the World Radio Day with special programmes devoted to gender equality in the media. Albania and Slovenia supported this initiative by producing a magazine on the role of women in the radio.
