Immerse yourself in the heart of Mediterranean heritage through the new international podcast series “Mediterranean Monuments Between Sky and Sea.”
The result of a unique collaboration between 8 public radio broadcasters, all members of COPEAM, this project invites you on an audio journey through iconic monuments that stand as gateways between the sky and the sea.
From the majestic Library of Alexandria to the cliffs of Bonifacio, passing through the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and the artistic columns of Boujaafar in Tunisia, from the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul to Diocletian’s Palace in Split, and all the way to the Constanţa Casino and the Kasbah of the Oudayas in Rabat — each episode explores the history, architecture, and deep connection these sites share with the Mediterranean Sea.
The collection, a true ode to the cultural diversity of our shared region, will be broadcast this summer by partner radios and soon available in French as a podcast on major international platforms.
For the first time, an experiment was conducted using artificial intelligence to produce the French dubbing of one of the episodes — specifically, the one by the Turkish partner. The encouraging result opens up exciting new possibilities for the distribution of international co-productions of this kind.
The postproduction of the series was carried out by Ici RCFM / Radio France. The musical theme used is an excerpt from “Mediterraniu,” the Mediterranean anthem composed by Felì Travaglini and performed by a choir of Corsican children.
