                      Another view on the Mediterranean

-The current environmental challenges are not only topics for news. To raise awareness and explain the direct impact of climate-related effects on citizens’ every-day life, audiovisual media can play a crucial role thanks to the power of images and of meaningful stories of common women and men.

Each coproducing broadcaster produces a documentary and, according to the “basket formula”, acquires the rights to transmit free of charge the whole series.

Under the supervision of a coordination team - composed of an executive producer and two experts from both the north and the south of the Mediterranean -  all the film directors assigned to the project participate in 2 coproduction workshops: one devoted to the sharing of the work methods and for the topics selection; the second one focused on the screening of the in-progress productions and on the pre-editing work.

The collaboration with ICO-Solutions around islands and coasts’ preservation in the Mediterranean led to a coproduction project: “Another view of the Mediterranean”, an international collection of short video reportages - made by journalists coming from 9 national TVs France 3 Via Stella - BNT Bulgaria - HRT/Croatia; NMA/Egypt; Rai/Italy; Télé Liban/Lebanon; SNRT/Morocco; RTP/Portugal - about women and men whose lives are bound to the sea and its coasts.
