Mediterradio - The voice of islands

Every week, Sardinia, Sicily, and Corsica come together thanks to Mediterradio, the voice of the islands.

A fascinating cross-border radio project in which Sardinia, Corsica, and Sicily are linked by a vocal and cultural bridge, sharing their stories with one another. The three main Western Mediterranean islands discuss common issues - environment, sustainability, cultural heritage, economic development, employment, current affairs, the fight for legality, and the battle against organized crime - united in their diversity. Each episode of Mediterradio is a journey of discovery through the three islands and the entire Mediterranean, featuring voices, music, opinions, events, news, and current topics.

Half an hour of immersion in a multi-voiced dialogue, in Italian and Corsican (thanks to the mutual intelligibility of the two languages), which also extends to partnerships with other Euro-Mediterranean public radio stations.

Created in 1997 by the Corsican journalist Petru Mari, since 2012 it has been co-produced by Radio Rai, through the regional offices in Cagliari and Palermo, and by Radio France through ici RCFM (Radio Corsica Frequenza Mora).

The program is now produced by the journalists Vito Biolchini from Cagliari, Adelaide Costa in Palermo, and Paul-Antoine Squarcini in Ajaccio.
Mediterradio is also available as a podcast on the Rai Play Sound and ici RCFM websites.
