In the framework of the 2025 Prix Italia Competition, a new Prize has been established in collaboration between Prix Italia, COPEAM and URTI: the Global South Award.
The prize is dedicated to broadcasters and productions from countries part of the UN-defined “Global South”, and aims to promote and offer visibility to video documentary productions that stand out for the innovation and universality of their content, to facilitate the spreading of original perspectives and insights.

To submit your work to this Special Prize, you need to fill a dedicated “entry form” available on the Prix Italia platform www.prixitaliacompetition.rai.it. The programme must be subtitled in English or accompanied by an English script.
Broadcasters having never competed in the Prix Italia before should fill the online form and send it to prixitalia@rai.it.
The deadline for programme submission is 19 June 2025 – 13:00 UTC.
