The role of women in the South-Med audiovisual sector
The SouthMed WiA Project was launched in 2017 for a thirty-month period. It was co-funded by the European Union within the framework of the regional programme MedFilm.
The project has responded to the double objective of strengthening the capacities of female professionals and operators and contributing to sustainable development and cultural diversity by enhancing the image of women in the film sector in 7 countries of the Southern Mediterranean (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia).
