In the framework of COPEAM Training Commission, TRT – Turkish Radio and Television Corporation hosted in Ankara on 29-30 January 2026 an international course on the topic “Sports Broadcasting: From Broadcasting to Digital”.
The training, open to COPEAM television members from the MENA and the Balkans’ regions, involved a group of 10 journalists from the sports departments of BNT/Bulgaria, EPTV/Algeria, TVR/ Romania, RTCG/Montenegro, RTV/Serbia, RTSH/Albania, 2M/ Morocco, and Télévision Tunisienne/Tunisia.
This activity, co-organized by COPEAM and TRT Academy, provided the participants with an opportunity for capacity-building and international networking in the field of sports journalism.
In particular, participants gained knowledge about the history of sports broadcasting, the current broadcasting process to cover international events, and effective match commentary. Furthermore, comprehensive information was provided on effective content production, management, and publishing on digital platforms, and practical workshops were conducted on interview, editing, and storytelling processes in digital sports broadcasting.
This initiative marks another step in the solid cooperation with TRT in the field of training, to the benefit of COPEAM network of Mediterranean broadcasters.
