Following the positive outcomes of the first edition of the training course “Gender Etiquette”, COPEAM, with the support of Rai Academy and in collaboration with Rai’s Equal Opportunities Committee and Usigrai, is launching a second edition focused on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).
Building on the foundations of the previous programme, this new edition broadens its scope to explore the wider range of DEI issues that are increasingly relevant to the media sector.
The programme will continue to engage different professional profiles within the company, combining theoretical insights with practical tools, case studies and interactive discussions. By encouraging participants to translate DE&I principles into their everyday work, the course aims to strengthen professional skills while fostering a shared culture of inclusion, responsibility and accountability, thus contributing to more accurate, representative and inclusive storytelling, as well as to fairer and more equitable working environments.
A transversal theme throughout the programme will be the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Rather than addressing AI as a standalone topic, each seminar will examine its implications within the specific subject under discussion—from journalism and editorial decision-making to organisational processes and audiovisual production. Participants will explore both the opportunities AI offers and the challenges it raises, including the risk of reproducing or amplifying bias and stereotypes, while developing a critical and responsible approach that combines technological innovation with human expertise.
Through the contribution of national and international experts, the initiative seeks to strengthen awareness, skills and accountability around diversity and inclusion, supporting a cultural shift that is both systemic and sustainable.
